The Most Reverend Jeremy Greaves was ordained a Deacon in 1997 and a Priest in 1998 and has held a number of appointments in South Australia and the Northern Territory including Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Darwin and Administrator of the Diocese of the Northern Territory.

Archbishop Greaves came to Queensland in 2013 as Rector of Buderim Parish. He was appointed Bishop of the Northern Region in 2017.

Archbishop Greaves is passionate about finding ways for the Church to engage with the wider community, be a respectful participant in public discourse and continue to be a place where everyone is welcome.

As attendance at churches in Australia, across every tradition, continues to fall and we find it more and more difficult to have our voice heard, it is easy to lose hope in an institution that many think has had its day. However, we still have a story to tell and there is plenty in which we can locate a sense of hope. Archbishop Jeremy will explore some of our current context and the headwinds we face as a church and then invite us to identify some signs of hope that might buoy us up in this season of our life together.
