Rev’d Jamee Collard is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Australia and feels called by God to lead communities in liminal spaces, especially in the borderless online space. Ordained in St John’s Cathedral Brisbane in 2015, she has served as assistant curate in several parishes before answering a call to intentional interim ministry. Working as a locum priest led to a love for community renewal and transformation, which is now lived out in collaboration with the people of Holy Hermits Online alongside the St John’s Cathedral team. Rev’d Jamee also loves contemplative prayer, ecumenical devotions, liturgical resource curating and pastoral care. She has served on the Archbishop’s Vocations Taskgroup since 2015 and has great enthusiasm for encouraging lay and ordained vocations to flourish. Chairing the Equitable Participation Working Group from 2022 and working alongside others, who have a heart for making Church accessible for all people, is also one of her passions. She is married to Damian and has two cats, Mash and Star, who assist her regularly in her ministry, often appearing on screen.
Though diversity, equity and inclusion provisions are being wound back in some parts of the world, Jamee will help participants remain hopeful about the spaces we can create when we follow Jesus’ way of welcoming and celebrating everyone.
